Acer Palmatum ‘Black Lace’. Small, upright, deciduous shrubby tree to about 3m tall, with feathery, deeply cut, dark reddish-purple leaves divided into 5 lobes, turning bronze-green by late summer then bright orange and red in autumn. Inconspicuous red-purple flowers in spring may be followed by winged, purple fruits.
